Highlights of the weekend included Chris Russell, the Archbishop of Canterbury’s advisor for evangelism and witness, speaking about the need to be authentic in youth ministry. Other highlights were impassioned talks from Dr Kate Middleton and Ian Henderson, encouraging youth workers to do more to deal with mental health issues and pornography. Spring Harvest’s director Abby Guinness said: ‘There was a great buzz throughout the weekend – I loved seeing hundreds of youth workers from many different backgrounds worshipping together. It’s exciting to know that the knock on effect from the conference will impact thousands of young people’.
One Twitter user (@HIYAhemel) told Youthwork: ‘I loved it! It was my first conference as I only started my job in September. I left feeling inspired!’ The conference’s website includes live blogs from the event to catch up on what you missed (www.youthworkconference.co.uk), and bookings are now open for next year.
