It seems almost ridiculous that there was a time when in order to hear your favourite worship tune, unless you played an instrument, you had to wait until next week's service. Mercifully, Thomas Edison created the gramophone and then a bit later, Steve Jobs created something called an iPod.

The Internet
Arguably the most useful technological advancement on this list, the internet (despite its shady vices) is a great tool for the Christian. Not only does it give us access to a vast array of Christian resources, but it has an untold amount of cat videos to bring us additional joy.

Projectors
Though hymn books were undoubtedly helpful, the influx of modern worships songs meant the Over-Head-Projector (or OHP) became the must-have gadget in the late 90s. However, that wasn’t enough. We needed enchanting backgrounds for the lyrics. Luckily, digital projectors and PowerPoint were able to help facilitate.

Clip-on/Neck mics
Previously being a preacher required having a booming voice. Later it required exceptional muscular endurance to keep a mic elevated for a whole sermon. That said, the clip-on mic has clearly been a revelation.
