Premier Youthwork Investigates… Selfies

Selfies, once again, hit the news recently. Not because Kim Kardashian posted another naked picture, or because Obama was papped with celebrity friends, but because of a Brit called Ben Innes. Ben was on a flight to Cairo when his plane was hijacked by a man in an explosive vest. Instead of cowering for his life, Ben decided to take a selfie with the hijacker. When asked why, he told The Sun: ‘I’m not sure why I did it. I just threw caution to the wind while trying to stay cheerful in the face of adversity’.
